Science world is like a discovery center with permanent interactive exhibits and then themed exhibitions that rotate in and out every 6 months or so. It's right in downtown Vancouver and you can't miss the Omnimax theater housed in the large ball. http://www.scienceworld.ca/
The current theme exhibit is Extreme Dinosaurs! Molly was a little scared about the life sized mechatronic moving animals, but calmed down after a little bit. She thought the Euoplocephalus (yes I had to look up the spelling) looked funny because in her words.... he had a big ball at the end of his tail.

The hands on learning area is setup really well and so much fun for the kids. They have very practical experiences to help the kids understand some basic matters of physics and science.
Learning about pressure! The station would release bubbles, and then you could vary the pressure, which would change the size of the bubbles rising up through the viscous fluid. Owen thought this was really cool.
Owen on the hands-on demonstration about turbulence... one side of the drum had paddle vanes and the other side of the drum had wing shaped features on the end of the arms, so you could see how much easier it was to spin and then compare how long it would keep spinning.
Playing a game about energy with Mommy that was awful close enough to ski-ball so there was a big line.
They had a small area with some terrarium critters and they were both fascinated by the Gecko's.
If you are in the area with your kids, I would strongly recommend a visit.... It's a great way to spend a rainy day in Vancouver!
