why?

This is what I was greeted with in the downstairs bathroom on Sunday morning. I have to admit I was upset, but I laughed... a lot. I didn't expect this from our 4 year old, but I guess once you start spinning it's hard to stop. :)

Summer Weather!

Owen has been loving killing time playing in the sink. He empties the kitchen utensil drawer and proceeds to measure, spoon, scoop & siphon water for hours...

This past weekend was beautiful, so we planted our tomatoes, sunflowers, and peas. Later this week when it's not quite as hot, we'll put in the lettuce, broccoli, watermelon & cantaloupe. I'm not surprised anymore when Owen proves that he's a little boy through and through. He dumped the entire watering can in the middle of the garden and made a mud hole that he played in for a good long time.

Easter Egg Hunts

It was rainy on Saturday, so they had the easter egg hunt at church inside. As you can see, it was quite a challenge, but the kids had a blast.

mmmmhhhmmmm candy....

Easter Sunday was beautiful and Aunt Shannon coordinated the annual egg hunt at Aunt Patsy & Uncle Donnie's family gathering. Here's Owen with Maddie and Heidi getting ready to go!

Spring weekend

The first weekend in April, Owen and I started to get stuff ready around the house for Spring.
We took the plow off the tractor, cleaned the mower deck, sharpened the blades and put it on.

He helped me trim up all the little bushes we have in the landscaping around the house, then we tilled up the garden to get ready to plant. Our oregano bush bit the dust this past winter, so we dug that out too.

The daffodils bloomed early this year after a warm weekend

Vacation at Grandma & Grandpa Horvath's

After my little man rode away with my brother to go visit my parents I went back in the house and cried. Sometimes I take for granted his little smile and uncanny ability to spot cement trucks on the highway. We have our moments as any parents of a strong willed 4 year old do, but I love him more than he will ever know....

Even with Molly here, the house was eerily quiet for the few days he wasn't here. But he was having a blast as usual.. living large and enjoying all the activities with Grandma and Grandpa.

Building a John Deere tractor puzzle with Riley...

Helping Grandpa change the filter in the air circulator.

Owen loves to cook in the kitchen and everyone knows that Grandma Ruth's is the place to be if you like cooking!

Tent fort building with Grandpa
Making/playing with homemade playdough with Grandma

In the bubble machine at the discovery center!

My little engineer....

Making power on the bike!
Yes, my son rides a mean pink skooter.
It was windy the day Mom & Dad brought Owen back home, so we had to get the kites out!

Seth & Mary

Seth and Mary, the girls and Marley came to visit at the end of February to see Molly. We had a great weekend and Owen had a blast playing with everyone.

Here's all the kids camping out in the basement.

Alyssa with the furry boys...

Mom & Dad graciously offered to have Owen stay with them for a few days while we got settled with Molly, so Seth and Mary took Owen along with them up to Binghamton. He was so excited to ride in their van. :)
