Evening in Vancouver

For the past few years, we've made an effort to get a babysitter and go have dinner, see a movie, have coffee every week or 2 to keep sane and have on opportunity for adult conversation without the soundtrack of Molly and Owen.  A few weeks ago we had a great afternoon/evening out in Vancouver...  we started with a visit to the Vancouver Chinese Garden.  Vancouver Chinese Garden

My partner in this adventure we call life...

There was a series of extruded concrete window openings in a courtyard at the garden.  The shapes caught my eye.

After our visit at the garden, we went over to Stanley park for a walk on the sea-wall.  It was a gorgeous evening.  Rocks catching sun in the water.

A view of the Lions Gate Bridge from the park.

Walking back to the car, we saw a bald eagle flying over.  We almost always see some when walking around the park.  The eagle population around the island and this area in general is quite large.  They are majestic birds.

Sunset over Coal Harbour

Marina with the skyline and almost perfect reflection.  The beauty of Vancouver....

We finished the afternoon with a nice dinner at the Lift Bar & Grill on the water.  Fantastic food and atmosphere.
